Chronogest is a brand name for a veterinary product used in animal husbandary, particularly with Goats and Sheep. Its a progesterone based product used to synchronise estrus cycles in sheep. Helping to manage their breeding and reproduction. By controlling the timing of the estrus, we can optimise breeding and increase efficiency of sheep reproduction.  


The process isnt painful and uses a vaginal sponge as above so just like a inserting a tampon but means the sheep all lamb at the same time. Milking will commence at the same time in february. The sponges will be taken out just before the Ewes go to the Ram in 2 weeks time.
