Milking Sheep are due to lamb 1st and 2nd feb. The sheep are in our barn in a big pen. The process is that they will lamb in the big pen and then be moved to individual pens for mum and lamb to bond. A few days of mum and baby bond time then they moved into a big pen and then out in field.
Today we got the barn ready. After lambing last year the barn became a general purpose area. Every January we have a clear out. We clean out the barn and lime the pens. This is a biosecurity measure to kill bugs and keep our sheep healthy.
